As continued from previous posts, here are some notes about Academic performance and Curriculum activities to prepare for scholarship or studying abroad. 2. Academic performance You will always need a good record whether you intend to apply for undergraduate or graduate program. If not, nothing can verify your academic performance, and hence, your ability to study WELL in an advanced educating environment. Therefore, try to get good score as many as possible. You may fail some courses, or get bad scores in come tangential but compulsory subjects (for example, philosophy or psychology) but please keep in mind that the GPA must be balanced eventually. In fact, you must reach good scores in your targeted subjects (A, A+ or 9/10) so as to have final GPA at about 8/10 or above. And with that GPA, you are able to apply for opportunities to study abroad. During my chemistry undergraduate program, I'd never failed but had some low scores due to my lack of interest and my carel...

Graduation!

Graduation ceremony is always a meaningful event in our life. It marks the end of our period as undergraduate students and begins our days that we are released to the society. I'm so ebullient as my parents and my classmates are there with me.  More than that, "you" know, I wish "you" were there. :)   Yesterday I had a chance to look back to my 4-year university time. Through the certificates. Not so many but each of them reflects multifarious aspects in me. And eventually, I'm proud that I have had a wonderful time joining these activities and gain expedient improvements for myself. ^^

1. English

English, or language skills in general, is the fundamental preparation whenever you think of studying abroad. To evaluate the English ability, specific tests are compulsory, and depends on which universities you apply for that they have different minimum score requirement.  Please be noticed that information given below is based on requirement from what I known about   STEM* graduate admission . If your plans are about liberal arts, business or undergraduate admission, the criteria might be more advanced. *STEM - Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics a. IELTS (Academic Module, 4 skills): - Worldwide accepted. - For Asian countries (except Singapore): 5.0 - 6.0 is accepted. - For Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore: 6.5 or above. Usually, 7.0 in IELTS can be considered as a "safe" score when applying, along with additional documents that prove your background.  b. TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test, 4 skills) - Worldwide accepted. - For...

To whom it may concern, I'm writing this page to share my experience of "hunting" opportunities to study abroad for juniors who have desires to do so. After reading these words, I hope you guys could start your own plans right away in order to reach your achievement (with higher percentage, probably). At first, I will share some basic requirements before any applications to undergraduate/graduate admission at international universities: 1. English 2. Academic performance 3. Curriculum activities Secondly, I would like to mention some cardinal points in application process: 4. Choosing target universities (for graduate study only) and scholarships 5. Standardized test(s) 6. Additional documents (Letters of Recommendation, Statement of Purpose, Transcripts) Last but not least, it's time for 7. Interview. After screening round, you might have (some) interview with reverent professor(s) or admission coordinator(s), and definitely, you MUST PREPARE in order t...

Bonhomie place for my soul!

First time using Blogger, everything is so... strange to a neophyte like me. However, I believe that day after day, it will mollify my emotion as my words are freely opined and my illusion is expressed.
