a. IELTS (Academic Module, 4 skills):
- Worldwide accepted.
- For Asian countries (except Singapore): 5.0 - 6.0 is accepted.

Usually, 7.0 in IELTS can be considered as a "safe" score when applying, along with additional documents that prove your background.
b. TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test, 4 skills)
- Worldwide accepted.
- For Asian countries (except Singapore): 60/120 is accepted.
- North America: 79/120.
U.S universities recommend that a TOEFL iBT score of 100/120 is more competitive.
c. TOEFL PBT (Paper-based Test, 2 skills - Listening & Reading)
- Only accepted by some universities in South Korea or U.S.
- Average minimum score requirement: 550/677
d. TOEIC (2 skills - Listening & Reading)

Most chosen standard English tests are TOEFL iBT and IELTS. TOEIC and TOEFL PBT are less widely known but they are also accepted in some countries. If you plan to study abroad, start to improve your English skills through practice of these tests.
